My name is Myranda Syberg and this will be my third year at St. Barnabas! While I live here in Indianapolis, I have been working in the Avon Community School district since 2006. I taught 1st and 4th grade while I was there and spent my final 2 years as the curriculum/instructional coach for two elementary schools for grade K-4. Last year, I was blessed to transition back into the classroom teaching 5th grade. Last year, I was offered the chance to return to 1st grade...where my love for teaching is! While I am still teaching 1st grade reading and math this year, I am also coordinating our RTI program. I am blessed to be in this dual role as they are both passions of mine!
I went to college at Franklin College where I graduated with honors. While majoring in Elementary Education, I took several endorsement classes for ELA. I met my husband, Nick, my senior year of college. We were married in 2009 and have 2 precious boys, Jackson and Max. Jackson began 1st this year at St. Barnabas while Max, who is 2, will spend his days with a dear friend at her in-home daycare!
I am looking forward to teaching your child as we grow in our journey of academics and faith. Let's have a great year!
